The 'Toodle-A-Dokey' Award

x x
The 'Toodle-A-Dokey' Award is a game prize that is granted yearly to the game that has made itself the most superfluous in game publishing during the last year. The trophee is an empty box with the title 'Just Another Box On The Shelf' with the 'Toodle-A-Dokey' logo. A game year runs from October to October, similar to the time period between the two 'Essen's' in Germany. During a current year, nominees already can be assigned; the winner will be announced in October. The first and next award assignment will be in October 2007. The term 'Toodle-A-Dokey' originates from a Dutch nineties tv series about an office where each episode the workers compared the sandwiches their women supplied them for lunch. Unavoidable one or all of the sandwiches or the fruit would end in the waste basket under the accompanying fantasy cry: 'Toodle-A-Dokey!'.
