In this way the regions are scouted; if a player has luck in drawing a ‘4’ in an empty region and he has the matching card to put 4 rangers in that region, then a score is activated immediately.. Every player gets one point for every ranger in that region, with a bonus of 3 points for the player who activated the score. In the above example the player would get 7 points. But generally more rangers are needed, and every player is keen to get his rangers in such a position that he alone benefits most from a score. Of course all this is dependent on the colour of his cards, and the amount of rangers a player can put in a region with that card. Around the continent there is a couple of sea regions that can also be scored. Because these regions border with less other regions, rangers in the sea field count for 2 points each.

Industry is one thing; wildlife another. In this game they go hand in hand as apart from the industry markers every region also holds a wild life marker without any printed value that also can activate a score. This happens when all fields in a region are occupied; the amount of rangers is unimportant. This scoring follows the same procedure as for an industry project: 1 point for every ranger, with a 3 point bonus for the player who activated the score.

At a certain point in the game a player has put all his rangers on the board; they are in regions where a score yet has to occur, or where one already has taken place. In the latter region these are ‘useless’ rangers that can be put back to work with the third action a player can choose to take in a turn: take back rangers from a region. The usual requirement is that the plane has to be present in the region. The rangers may be taken from more than one field in that region, with a maximum of 4 rangers. Especially towards the end of the game players might be stuck with useless colour cards when all these regions have already scored. They can pay 3 gold to change the colour of the card; the amount of gold and rangers on the card are unaffected. In this way the scarce unscored regions can be reached.
x
Another important use of the gold is to pay 4 gold and move one ranger already on the board to an other field of a region. This tactic can be used to place the missing ranger required to activate a score! Scoring does not happen automatically, by the way; if a player overlooks it, another player in his turn can claim it and get the bonus points for it!

The game ends when all stacks are empty and a player has played his last card. The round is completed, players score additional points for saved gold and the player with the most points wins.
