In 'Biblios', players play the part of abbots, competing to obtain the most illustrious library. This is done by acquiring the necessary resources, hire the best copyists and reproducing the most precious works, but comes down in playing the best cards from a dealt hand. |

At the start of the game, five dice are placed in the scriptorium and with the '3' side up. This is the initial value that can be earned in each of the five categories.
The game is split into two phases: during the first phase, all 87 cards from the deck are dealt in the following way: the active player draws one card at the time, one more than there are players, before the player on his left takes his turn and does the same. When drawing a card, he may keep it, put it in the display, or discard it. In a 4 player game he would have drawn five cards, before the player on his left takes his turn. This is repeated till the stack of all 87 cards is depleted. |

After this, the second phase starts with the discard pile becoming an auction pile. These cards are shuffled and auctioned one at a time. Players bid on it with the gold cards in their hand and call the number of cards they bid. In this way, a gold card with value '2' would be called as a 'one' bid. If a player made a bid of 'one' but only has a '3' gold card, he gets no change and has to pay with the '3' gold card. When there is a gold card in the auction, players may pay with any type and combination of cards.
There are church cards with which a player is able to modify one or more dice in the scriptorium. The game ends when the auction pile is depleted. The players group their cards by category and the player who has the highest total gets the points for that category. This way all five categories are worked. The winner with the most points has won the game. |

Uchronia is a city in a world inhabited by both dinosaurs and antique civilizations. You are the patriarch of one of the five ruling houses vying for control of the city. To obtain this control, you must build at least 7 buildings, but you must above all gain the highest influence and reputation so your house may rule over Uchronia.
As every other player, you have a board representing your estate on which you will play your cards. On your turn, you will use your cards to manage your orders, win partisans over, fill your stocks, develop your motives in order to boost your reputation and buildings to increase your influence.
Each card is composed of all these elements, so their function is determined by the way they are used by the players. It is up to you to make the right choices and not to deprive yourself of a vital resource by being too quick in building a building. |

There are two versions to each building and two copies of each version. You may only build one of each. The standard building has an effect once completed and earns you victory points. An extended building is active from the beginning of its construction and its power increases as you improve it, but it will never earn you any influence or victory point as it is never completed. It is up to you to decide what you feel is the best road to victory.
The game allows for many tactics and therefore a greater variety between games. |
